1 Year Anniversary

For our one year anniversary Cameron took me to New York City, and we stayed a block away from Time Square! It was an amazing trip! We rode the subway, at pizza every night, saw the Wicked play, went up the Empire State Building, saw the 9/11 Memorial, and saw the Statue of Liberty. It was cool to see another state with big buildings, taxi's everywhere, and to see the NY Temple. It was a great way to spend our first anniversary together.
Cameron knew how much I wanted to see the Wicked play, and to see it on Broadway was a very cool experience. The pizza tasted delicious and we ate somewhere different every night.
The 9/11 Memorial was a neat experience. It was very quiet and you could feel the silence and respect for those who died in the towers and on the planes. I will never forget it

BEST FRIENDS

Let me tell you about this amazing couple named Daniel and Kiersten Tate. We met them In January of 2012. They had just got married and moved into our ward. Kiersten is from Utah and Daniel is from here. They are the cutest couple and we enjoy being around them when our schedules allow it. We started doing a Couples FHE in our Cambria ward and it slowly turned into hanging out with them almost every night! We play video games, bake, grill, play board games, paintball, and many other things. We love spending time them. They have been a HUGE blessing in our lives, especially as newly wed couples! Thank you for being such great friends to us!

Just Need Patience

I've been done with school since october, and I've had my license since November. Why is it so hard to find a job once you graduate? Everyone only offers minimum wage and next to no hours to start off, just when things are looking good...BOOM... nope, turns out every salon is afraid of people right out of school. Although, this one sounded good and it helps you with progression, but I can't afford minimum wage and hardly any hours. It's kinda getting frustrating. Do I take a chance and take it as a challenge? Or do I keep on searching for someone to give me a full-time stylist position. I don't like having to make these decisions, but I guess it's a trial I need to overcome. Keep your fingers crossed!

Here are some pictures from when I was in beauty school

Wisdom Teeth Removal

So I had to get my wisdom teeth out, and Cameron thought it would be funny to video tape our drive home. The camera shut off the last half hour of the drive home. So here is a clip we've put together of me getting my wisdom teeth out. :)

Miracles

So yesterday we had a guy from Home Depot out to see if there was anything we could do to fix our a/c. If you know anything about our a/c you know that it's been working on and off. So the guy gave us a deal on one and they are installing it today. It wasn't the easiest decision since we are newly weds, but it had to be done. So when I got home I told cameron we should go out to eat because we have date night once a week, and we can't let an a/c get in the way of that. So we decided to go to the Olive Mill but it had poor reviews so cameron picked a mexican restaurant, and didn't tell me what it was. We get to Jim's Burros off of Ocotillo and it's a little shack place but we wanted to try something new. It was a cute little Ma& Pa place and the people we really nice and the food was great and inexpensive. As we were close to finishing up, one of the waitresses comes over to us and says, "You know that couple paid for you right?" We said no  and said we didn't even know them, didn't even say anything to them. They sat diagonally across from us and another waitress came up and said " Ya they said they didn't know you but wanted to pay for your meal. Tell them to do something nice for someone else." It was THE biggest blessing we received. That couple doesn't know what they had just done for us. It wasn't a lot of money, but it was the fact that they were willing to do something for someone that hadn't even met. That was so powerful. I will never forget them, I only hope that I will have the opportunity to see them again to thank them. The Lord puts people into our lives to help us, even if we don't know them. Never judge, cause you never know what's going to come of it.

Christmas Time!!

So we got our tree up and our living room painted! Our house is coming along so well, I'm so excited!! I'm excited for christmas especially since this is Cameron and I's first christmas together :) Cameron has just a few weeks of this semester left, he is going to school for accounting/business. I have my cosmetology license, I've interviewed at a few places but no luck so far. Oh well, keep trekin! My parents came over sunday and gave us 2 christmas decorations that my grandma used to have in her house that I LOVED!!! One is mickey mouse houses that sing the christmas songs with all his friends and the other one is a barbie ball and couples dancing to christmas and year round music. My grandma used to collect barbie dolls and I used to be obsessed with them, so I'm going to carry on the tradition of collecting the barbie dolls and keeping those christmas items in the family :) My grandma and I were very close so it was hard to lose her, I was there almost everyday either crafting something or baking something. That's where I picked up the love for crafts and baking. I'm currently working on crochet baby blankets for my friend sarah and my cousin jessica, I'm excited to see how they turn out in the end. Enough rambling for one day...I think I might like this blogging stuff :D
